HOT BUTTERED RUM

Hot Buttered Rum

A creamy spiced cocktail perfect for those cold winter months.

Ingredients  

Vanilla Spiced Butter

  • 16 tbsp Unsalted Vital Farms Butter
  • 3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Star Anise
  • 1/2 tsp Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Pink Peppercorn
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

Cocktail

  • 6 oz Hot Water
  • 2 1/2 oz TTO Dark Rum
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Spice Vital Farms Butter

Instructions 

  • Make the Vanilla Spiced Butter: Heat butter & spice in pot on low until melted.
  • Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
  • Strain spices & store in a nonreactive container.
  • Prepare the Cocktail: Add hot water and rum to preheated mug.
  • Stir in Vanilla Spice Butter until dissolved.
  • Garnish with nutmeg & star anise.
