Hot Buttered Rum
A creamy spiced cocktail perfect for those cold winter months.
Ingredients
Vanilla Spiced Butter
- 16 tbsp Unsalted Vital Farms Butter
- 3/4 cup Light Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Star Anise
- 1/2 tsp Cloves
- 1/2 tsp Pink Peppercorn
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
Cocktail
- 6 oz Hot Water
- 2 1/2 oz TTO Dark Rum
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Spice Vital Farms Butter
Instructions
- Make the Vanilla Spiced Butter: Heat butter & spice in pot on low until melted.
- Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Strain spices & store in a nonreactive container.
- Prepare the Cocktail: Add hot water and rum to preheated mug.
- Stir in Vanilla Spice Butter until dissolved.
- Garnish with nutmeg & star anise.
