The Faces of Egg Central Station

Meet Josefina Moreno

In an effort to shine a spotlight on the people who make up Egg Central Station, we’re bringing you some of their stories in a series called The Faces of ECS.

Say hello to Josefina!

A Guanajuato, Mexico native, Josefina moved to Springfield, MO in 2018 and began her job at Egg Central Station as a processing associate just two weeks later.

Two years later, she’s now the Plant Sanitation Lab Tech, ensuring Egg Central Station’s laboratory testing procedures and functions, sanitation policies and procedures are up to regulation.

A mom to 3 kids and a part-time student, Josefina knows what it means to be busy.

We chatted with Josefina to learn a bit more about what her life inside and outside of Egg Central Station entails.

Q: Do you have any family members on the frontlines?

A: Yes! My husband, Eduardo, actually also works at ECS on the production floor. As well as my niece, Michelle.

Q: What are you most looking forward to when things get back to normal?

A: My kids getting back to activities so I can get things done around the house! And getting back to having a social life again.

Q: Have you picked up a new hobby/recipe/tv series while not at work?

A: I’m actually currently going back to school to be a nurse! So when I’m not at work – I’m spending time on school.

What her fellow crew members have to say about Josefina:

Josefina is such a hard worker! She is always willing to help out wherever she can. She has been a processing associate and part of the shipping team before she got promoted to plant sanitation lab tech. No matter where she is in the plant, she is getting the job done!

Thank you, Josefina, for all you do!
