  1. Hard-boil eggs in boiling water for 5 minutes. Run cool water over the eggs and after they're cooled down - crack the eggs on all sides on the counter (but leave the shell on!).
  2. Place the eggs back in the pot along with the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer for an hour.

  3. After the simmer, let the eggs cool completely in the liquid - the longer the eggs stay in the liquid, the darker the marbling will be. Peel the shells and enjoy!
