DIY Egg Carton Garland

Turn your empty egg cartons into festive holiday decorations with a little paint and some imagination!

Materials  

  • Empty Vital Farms egg cartons
  • Acrylic paints
  • String or ribbon
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors
  • Sharp knife

Instructions 

  • Start by removing the tops of the cartons and setting aside for another craft or composting.
  • Cut the bottom of the carton up along the divided sections so that you end up with little individual cups.
  • Paint the outside of each little cup in whatever design and color you’d like. We went with a red and white striped design but feel free to get creative!
  • Let your paint dry completely then use the sharp knife to gently poke a small hole on each side of the cups.
  • Use your ribbon or string to string the cups together then tie a knot at each end to keep them in place.
