Chopped Italian Sandwich
This bold and flavorful Chopped Italian Sandwich is a crowd-pleasing twist on a deli classic. Packed with savory deli meats, crisp veggies, zesty seasonings, and tossed with your favorite dressing, it’s all chopped together for the perfect bite every time.

Ingredients
- For the sub:
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 2 tablespoons Vital Farms salted butter room temperature
- 1 4- ounce pack of salami
- 1 6- ounce pack of ham
- 1 6- ounce pack of provolone cheese
- 2 ½ cups shredded lettuce of choice
- 1 medium tomato sliced
- ⅓ medium red onion sliced
- ⅓ cup sliced banana peppers drained
- For the dressing:
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ½ tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
- Combine and chop: Place salami, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and banana peppers on a large cutting board and chop to desired size. Add to a large mixing bowl, and set aside.
- Make dressing & Mix: Add mayo, olive oil, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to a small bowl. Whisk to combine. Drizzle over the chopped ingredients, and toss until evenly coated.
- Toast and butter hoagie rolls: Slice hoagie rolls in half lengthwise, toast until golden brown, and spread each half with butter while warm.
- Serve: Divide the chopped filling mixture between the hoagie rolls, and enjoy.
